Hi, I'm Jennifer and I'm a Franco-American living in the beautiful state of Maine. I grew up watching my grandmother knit in St-Pol-de-Leon, a small lazy town in Brittany, far away from the hustle and bustle of the Parisian lifestyle. She knit clothes for myself, my sister, my cousins, my favorite poupee and although she tried teaching me, I've never been much use beyond the standard knit and purl techniques to this day.
Fast forward to my life in Maine ... I still try to knit. And I still fail. I began taking a vested interest in stitch markers, following the many mistakes I made when trying anything other than "knit and purl"... and they've saved me many times over. So I started making my own (because as stitch markers tend to do, I lose them on a daily basis around my little house I call the Bump on a Hill). My knitting friends liked them and this is where my obsession with these little pieces of yarn jewelry began.
